There were 49 new schemes added last week with a total amount available of £47,622,000.

The amounts available range from £2,000 to £26,250,000.

Money is available for the following funding purposes: Buildings and Renovation, Business Growth, Business Innovation, Energy Efficiency, Purchasing Equipment, Recruit and Develop Staff and Starting a Business.

Money is available for the following business types: Academic, Large Business, Medium Business, Micro Business, Research Organisation, Small Business and Start-ups.

MRC Centre of Research Excellence: Round Four: Outline Application

This scheme is providing funding to tackle complex and interdisciplinary health challenges.

Local Innovation Partnerships Fund: competed strand

The Competed strand provides an opportunity for triple helix partnerships across the UK to demonstrate their innovation potential, including those with more polycentric geographies. Proposed partnerships must operate within a defined functional economic geography and clearly evidenced cluster(s).

ERC Consolidator Grants (January 2026)

The scheme aims to support excellent Principal Investigators at the career stage at which they may still be consolidating their own independent research team or programme. Principal Investigators must demonstrate the ground-breaking nature, ambition and feasibility of their scientific proposal.

PACE (Pathways to Antimicrobial Clinical Efficacy): 2025 Antibacterial Therapeutics – Research and Development

This scheme is supporting projects to develop early-stage, novel, antibacterial therapeutics seeking to treat Gram-negative bacterial infections associated with the highest burden of AMR.

Active Travel Innovation Fund

This scheme is providing funding to organisations, including businesses, to develop and deliver bold and innovative active travel interventions, aimed at increasing current levels of walking, wheeling, and cycling in England.

SME Market Expansion Open Call 2026

This Call aims to support SMEs to develop a new product/service for an existing client or significantly improve a product/service for expansion into a new industry sector or geographic market. This is a cascade funding scheme.

6th REINFORCING Open Call (Incubators Call) on “Responsible Innovation”

Project proposals submitted under this call must revolve around practices of Responsible Innovation. Projects should consist of activities including, but not limited to, designing and/or implementing co-creation processes with citizens at large (or specific categories of citizens, e.g. patients) to develop innovative products, processes, and services for grand societal challenges and missions or in co-valorisation processes.

Wales Space Cluster Catalyst Fund – Tier 2 – Orbit Cymru – Industrial Research

This Fund is inviting applications for funding for projects that support the growth of the Welsh space sector, linked to one of the following four key strategy areas: Upstream manufacturing, midstream operations, downstream applications and skills development. Tier 1 is suitable for more mature collaborations or projects with strong potential for cluster development and investment attraction.
